Warranty Policy

Vega® provides a 1-year warranty on all helmets against manufacturing defects.

What does the warranty cover?

If any defect covered by the limited warranty is detected within 1 year from the date of purchase, Vega shall repair or replace the defective product through its distribution network, after the defect has been verified.

Vega® shall supply all the material and labor deemed reasonably necessary to remedy the reported defect unless the damage falls within the scope of the items listed in the section below titled ” LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTY”

Limitations of warranty:

    • An accident or a fall: Coverage does not extend to damages resulting from accidents or falls.
  • User Customization and Modifications: Any alterations, including but not limited to paints, glues, adhesives, screws, or technical modifications made by the user, are not covered.
  • Exposure to Harmful Chemicals or Intense Heat: Application of/contact with harmful chemical products (including methylated spirits on the visor treatments), or an intense heat source.
  • Lack of maintenance and care:  Change/damage in the inner cushion due to usage or poor maintenance of cleanliness. Also, the Warranty does not apply if there is evidence of insufficient maintenance and care.
  • Abnormal Usage Conditions: Damages incurred under abnormal usage conditions, such as underwater use, are not covered.
  • Sunlight/UV Exposure: Paint fades and color degradation due to prolonged exposure to sunlight/UV light. Especially, high–viz colors are especially prone to faster UV degradation because of their nature.
  • Paint Damage: Damages to paint resulting from regular usage are not covered under this warranty.
  • Inner Fabrics and Liner: Aging/damage/cracks of inner fabrics/liner due to usage.
  • Water Damage: Damage to inner fabrics due to contact with water.
  • Helmet Beading: Detachment of helmet beading due to usage is not covered.
  • Visor and External Parts: Scratching and marks on the visor & external parts.
  • UV Coating on Visor: Damage to the UV coating on the visor due to usage.
  • Color Chipping on EPS: Color chipping on the EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is not covered.
  • Helmet Spares (visors, visor fittings, spoilers, cheek padding, peak, and jaw) are not covered under warranty.
  • Physical damage will not be covered under the warranty
  • Please note that our open-face helmets are designed specifically for head protection. They do not provide full-face coverage. The company is not liable for any injuries to the face that may occur in the event of an accident while using an open-face helmet.
  • The warranty specifically covers only manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage caused by wear and tear, improper care, user errors, mishandling, misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations/repairs, any customization or personalization, accidental damage, or the degradation of the materials that occur after use.

Also, subjective concerns related to the use of helmets such as comfort, size, wind noise, whistling noise, padding noise, aerodynamics, fit, etc. will not be considered defects under warranty.

Cosmetic Damages:

Vega® makes all efforts to supply its re-sellers with only quality finished products. However, due to market conditions, products at reseller outlets may sometimes suffer minor cosmetic damage. This kind of damage is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty. Customers are therefore advised to check the products thoroughly at the time of purchase at the sales point. Vega® cannot be held responsible for cosmetic damages found after the purchase.

How to claim the Warranty?

  • A valid tax invoice issued by an authorized reseller/dealer is required for a warranty claim.
  • To initiate a warranty claim, contact the authorized reseller/dealer or email the company directly at customercare@vegaauto.com
  •  For a warranty claim, the customer needs to provide necessary details, such as Damaged product images and video along with the invoice copy for verification.
  • Please ensure that the helmet is carefully packaged. Once securely packed, affix the delivery address label prominently on the outside of the box. This will facilitate accurate and efficient dispatch of the product to our facility.

Process:

  • Based on the images you shared, we will notify you via email if we determine that the product can be repaired.
  • Please note that a warranty claim is considered valid only after we receive the product at our facility. The product must undergo a thorough inspection by our Quality team. During this inspection, we will verify the physical condition of the product against the images you provided to confirm that the reported issue is a manufacturing defect.
  • If our inspection concludes that the product can be repaired rather than replaced, we will inform you via email and proceed to ship the repaired product back to you.

Limitations:

  • Products purchased under promotions are not covered under the warranty.
  • Claims without valid invoices will not be considered.
  • The liability of the company is limited to the repair or replacement of the product.
  • The company has the right to reject any claim at its discretion.
  • The products will be replaced or repaired under warranty and are not refundable.
